Deep Groove Ball Bearings are the most common bearing type found in a wide variety of applications. Versatile and robust they are available in a wide range of sizes and options including seals, shields, and special clearance for high-speed applications. The main types are:
Radial ball bearings are composed of an inner ring and an outer ring, plus a cage with a precision ball set.
Ball-bearing is one of the most common and used. It can support thrust and radial loads. Its speed of rotation is superior to other types of bearings.
Bearings facilitate the movement between a shaft and the parts attached to it. There is a lot of types depending on different aspects such as loads, accuracy, rolling elements, or speed.
The 16005 thin section bearing has very thin rings and a very small cross-section. They are further characterized by low weight, low friction, and high stiffness. These characteristics make them particularly suitable for compact, lightweight bearing arrangements that are stiff and which have relatively large bore diameters.
Thin section bearings are therefore preferred for industrial robots, textile machinery, printing presses, machine tool turntables, radar antennae as well as optical and medical equipment applications.
This range is available open, with seals denoted by the 2RSH/2RS1 suffix, with shields denoted by the 2Z suffix, or with low-friction seals denoted by the 2RS suffix
Low-friction seals (2RS) form an extremely narrow gap with the cylindrical surface of the inner ring shoulder or recess profile and are practically non-contacting. Due to this feature, bearing fitted with low-friction seals can be operated at the same high speeds as bearings with shields (2Z), but with improved seal performance.
This range is also available with a C3 Clearance (see Open Type section for C3 explanation)
